Ulster U21FC: Tyrone cruise past neighbours
March 15, 2012
Tyrone 1-14
Fermanagh 1-3
Full forward Conor McAliskey's 15-second goal sent Tyrone on their way to an emphatic victory over Fermanagh in last night's Cadbury Ulster U21FC preliminary round clash at Brewster Park.
Raymond Munroe's young Red Hands, who are expected to go far in this year's championship, were never troubled and had the game wrapped up by half-time when leading by 10 points. Fermanagh responded with a point to McAliskey's early goal, but they failed to score again in the first half as Tyrone added eight points without reply.
McAliskey and John McCullagh each scored a brace of second half points to extend the visitors' lead before Ruairi Corrigan grabbed a late consolation goal for the Erne men.
