Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's
The U21s Football team gave a whole hearted performance at the weekend with fine scores from Fergal Mc Aliskey, Liam Gervin and Shea Coney against Errigal Ciaran which saw Derrylaughan go in at half time leading 0-5 to 0-1. At the start of the second half Errigal put on the pressure early but Derrylaughan defence excelled, forcing them into difficult shooting positions. Mid way through the second half Ciaran Gervin gained possession running some 30 yards before passing to his brother Liam who took a well deserved goal. Derrylaughan remained composed and defended strongly against several Errigal attacks. Final score Derrylaughan 1-8 Errigal Ciaran 0-8. Well done to the lads on a thrilling performance. The semi final against Omagh is on Tuesday at 7.30pm in Kildress.

As a build up to the club celebrating 73 yrs in existence in February 2011 here is a trek down memory lane.
 Clogher Park
(Author unknown)
Oh Clogher is a lovely town
The place where I was born
With "Castle Hill" On Convent grounds
And lovely Fields of corn
The grassy hills stand 'round about
There's a school in Convent Park
And there the Children shout and shout
From morning until dark
There's a football field on "Harvey's Brae"
With goalposts white and high
And there the men of Clogher play
To fight, to win or die!
