The Senior team made the long journey to Aughabrack to take on Clann na Gael last Friday in a league game which was a repeat of their championship meeting of a few weeks back. With no county men available for either side both teams would have fancied their chances of taking victory. It proved to be a very close encounter with the sides working hard in the opening period to take control of the game but the teams were level at the short whistle at 0-6 to 0-6. The second half followed a very similar pattern to the first with both teams matching each other score for score and it was no surprise when the sides finished level at the final whistle. Final score-line; 0-11 to 0-11. Killeeshil had some great performances from the younger players throughout the game but special mention must go to Kieran Magill and Jim McMullan who were excellent on the night. Management will be in touch with players regarding training over the next couple of weeks.
The U-16 boys played Clogher last Thursday 8th July in their third league game. After a brilliant team performance the lads recorded a comfortable victory.

Ulster Final - Come on Tyrone!
Tickets for this weekend's Ulster Senior and Minor Football Final at Clones will be distributed at the An Mhaigh G.A.C. Clubrooms this Tuesday evening (13th July) between 7.00pm and 8.00pm to those fully paid-up members of the club who requested them. Please note that all tickets must be collected and paid for on the night.
Good luck to our five An Mhaigh representatives - Colm, Philly, Ryan, Sean and Eunan - along with the entire Tyrone senior and minor squad members and backroom teams in their quest to bring more provincial glory to the O'Neill County. An Mhaigh Gaels will be travelling to Clones in large numbers this Sunday to cheer on both Tyrone teams. Here's hoping for a day of double celebration!
Men's Senior Team
An Mhaigh senior footballers welcomed Killyclogher to Páirc Thír na nÓg for a 'starred' All-County League Division 1 fixture on Tuesday 6th July. With so many first team players unavailable, this was another opportunity for some of the fringe members of the Sky Blue squad to impress.
On a damp and rather dreary night for football, there was little to separate the sides in a low-key first half. An Mhaigh conceded the first two scores of the game but fought back well to lead by a point midway through the half. Matt Murren, Ryan Mallon and Peter Mallon were the Moy marksmen during that period, which also saw Barry Gribbin prove his worth between the sticks for the home side.
Unfortunately, Moy's wayward shooting was another feature of the first half and our inability to convert good possession into scores would prove costly as Killyclogher registered three unanswered points before the break to lead 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time.
The second half was a tale of two quarters with Killyclogher dominating after the restart and An Mhaigh coming good late in the game. The visitors fired over four more points without reply in the third quarter to seemingly put the game out of Moy's reach. However, the Tír na nÓgs saved their best football for the final ten minutes to light up an otherwise lack-lustre affair.
Second half substitute Eunan Deeney was a central figure in his side's spirited comeback, converting two free-kicks and having a hand in the only goal of the game scored by midfielder James Devlin after 54 minutes. Inspired by the efforts of experienced players like Niall Conlon, Tomás McNicholl and Mark Jordan, the entire Moy team was clearly determined not to go down without a fight.
An Mhaigh trailed by just a point with two minutes of the match remaining and were so much on top that a draw or victory seemed a likely prospect at that stage. However, it was not to be as a couple more scoring chances were spurned and Killyclogher broke away in injury-time to seal a hard-earned win. Final Score: An Mhaigh 1-5 Killyclogher 0-10.
Team & Scorers: Barry Gribbin; James Murphy, Emmett Rafferty, Declan Cavanagh; Matt Murren (0-1), Mark Jordan (capt), Tomás McNicholl; Colm Jordan and James Devlin (1-0); Hugo Mackle, Kris Kavanagh, Niall Conlon; Peter Mallon (0-1), Tommy Conlon, Ryan Mallon (0-1, 1 fk). Subs used: Eunan Deeney (25 mins, 0-2, 2 fk), Martin Kernan (46 mins) and Conall Duffy (56 mins).
League Position: Played 9, Won 5, Drawn 0, Lost 4, Points 10. An Mhaigh's next league game will be away to Galbally on Sunday 8th August at 3.45pm.
Men's Reserve Team
An Mhaigh reserve team's resources were stretched for the visit of Killyclogher on Tuesday 6th July, limiting our side's chances of securing a third league win of the season. Despite falling to a ten point defeat, the men from the riverbank will still take positives from a solid second half display.
Playing with the aid of a stiff breeze in the opening half, Killyclogher controlled matters for much of this period and raced into a 2-8 to 0-4 interval lead. Conall Laverty (2), Cormac O'Neill and captain Turlough McKearney were the Moy scorers during those opening thirty minutes, while prominent club officials Peter McKearney and Philly McQuade were doing their best to stem the tide in the home defence.
Killyclogher stretched their lead even further with a string of unanswered points shortly after the restart, but a well taken goal by Paddy McKeown after 37 minutes lifted Moy spirits. The Tír na nÓg players took the game to their opponents for the remainder of the match and were rewarded with further scores from free-taker Turlough McKearney and young Mark Gribbin.
Despite restricting Killyclogher to just one solitary point in the final twenty minutes, the loss of midfielder Ciaran Conroy through injury and a number of missed scoring opportunities prevented the homesters from closing the gap any further. Final Score: An Mhaigh 1-6 Killyclogher 2-13.
Team & Scorers: Nathan Brady; Philip McQuade, Peter McKearney, Eoghan O'Neill; Adrian O'Neill, Adam Currie, Cormac O'Neill (0-1); Ciaran Conroy and John Harvey; Mark Gribbin (0-1), Conall Laverty (0-2, 1 fk), Donal Jordan; Paddy McKeown (1-0), Turlough McKearney (capt, 0-2, 2 fk), Anthony Rafferty.
League Position: Played 9, Won 2, Drawn 0, Lost 7, Points 4. An Mhaigh reserves will next be in action on Friday 30th July at 8.00pm when they play Omagh at home in the first round of the championship. For more information on reserve team matters, contact managers Sean Mallon or Brendy Farmer.
Boys Under 16 Team
An Mhaigh Under 16 boys were involved in an eight goal thriller on Thursday 8th July when travelling to the loughshore to take on league leaders Derrylaughan. Unfortunately, the young Sky Blues, who were missing a few key players for this game, finished on the wrong end of a 4-12 to 4-7 final scoreline.
League Position: Played 3, Won 1, Drawn 0, Lost 2, Points 2. An Mhaigh's next league game will be at home to Brackaville on Wednesday 21st July. For more information on training and fixtures, contact team mentors Sean Cartmill or Raymond Kelly.
Ulster Winners
Well done to An Mhaigh pair Katherine Hughes and Aine Swail who were members of the victorious Tyrone Under 16 girls squad which defeated Donegal in the Ulster Football Final at Clones last Sunday. Katherine and Aine become the latest Moy players to win a provincial medal with the county team.

ACL
The reserves and seniors were in league action last Wednesday when they played Dungannon at Mullaghmoyle. Playing against the league leaders in the reserve match, it was the Clarkes who got off to the better start and were 1-3 to 0-0 up after 10 minutes. Another goal by Dungannon had us in real bother but a good end to the half saw us trail by 3 at half time, but a great second half by the whole side saw us take the lead and we held on to hand Dungannon their first defeat of the year. Final score 1-12 to 2-08. In the senior match, a very tight first half saw us lead by a point at the break on a 1-02 to 0-04 score line, Gareth Devlin driving an unstoppable shot to the net. In the second half, some great scores from Gareth, Anton Coyle and James Kelly saw us stretch our advantage and we eventually won by 6 points. Final score 1-13 to 1-07. The next league games are fixed for 8th August versus Glenelly at home.
