Strabane Sigersons club notes
April 17, 2018Senior Men;
The Senior & Reserve games originally fixed for Sunday against Cookstown were postponed due to death of Bertha Corry, mother of club coach Dermot Corry & Grandmother of senior player Ethan Corry.
This Sunday the Senior and Reserve men will face Moortown at home with the game fixed for 2.15pm and 3.45pm, all support is much appreciated.
Senior Ladies;
Commiserations to Sigersons senior ladies who were defeated by Loughmacrory in their opening game of the Division two league on Sunday night. Loughmacrory won on a score line of 2-7 to 1-6, Michella Moss got the Strabane goal in the second half. On Sunday the girls will travel away to Clonoe in the hope of bouncing back and getting a victory, throw in is at 7pm.
Strabane Sigersons Easter Coaching Camp for all children from P1 to Year 10 will run on Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th April from 10am-1pm.Tyrone GAA players will be in attendance!Youth;
The minor boys had a brilliant victory away to Drumragh last Tuesday night, the lads ran out 3-12 to 0-12 winners with Tom Mullen grabbing all three goals.
On Thursday night Sigersons minor girls recorded another brilliant victory, this time they defeat Mna na Deirge 7-12 to 3-1, it was a brilliant all round team performance.
This Thursday the minor girls will travel to Glenelly for the next round of their league campaign, throw in will be at 7pm.
The Under 14 boys will host Cappagh this Saturday at 1pm, all support for the boys is much appreciated.
Go Games Academy training for P1 to P4 Boys and Girls will take place on Tuesdays from 7pm-8pm at Pairc Mhic Sioghair, which is located at the bottom of the Ballycolman.
Go Games Academy training for P5 to Y8 Boys and girls takes place on Wednesdays from 7pm-8pm.
The training will maintain it's fun ethos and concentrate on further developing the skills your children were introduced to in previous years. The boys and girls will also have regular blitzes and games throughout the county which will further add to the development of their skills and understanding of the game. As always, all new players are more than welcome.
We are in urgent need of coaches to assist at this level. Failure to secure permanent coaches or a team of parents to regularly assist with and at times take training will result in the training for this age group being cancelled.
