Roscommon are through to the Connacht U20FC final, while holders Sligo will face Galway for the right to meet the Rossies following the final round of group matches last night.

Roscommon wiped out Galway's nine-point scoring difference with a 3-16 to 2-6 victory over Leitrim in Ballinamore to qualify for the final as group winners. Goals by Niall O'Donnell, Shane McGinley and Bobby Nugent proved decisive as the hosts finished with 14 men after Darren Cox received a second yellow.

Sligo were 0-14 to 0-9 winners over Mayo thanks to a dominant second half performance at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park.

With Oisín Cronin to the fore, Mayo raced into an early 0-4 to 0-0 lead. They were 0-7 to 0-3 ahead at the break, but with a strong breeze behind them, Sligo stormed back in the second period with Luke Marren leading the scoring charge.

Mayo and Leitrim will now contest the Philly McGuinness Cup final next Wednesday, the same night as Sligo and Galway meet for a place in the provincial final.
