Kilkenny will hold a public training session in Nowlan Park ahead of tomorrow week’s All-Ireland SHC final.

The session will take place on Monday at 6pm as the countdown continues to the Cats’ showdown with Tipperary. The session provides a final opportunity for supporters to see their heroes train ahead of hurling’s big day.

“Kilkenny supporters are welcome to attend training on Monday night next (August 12th) at 6pm in Nowlan Park. Entry to this session is via Ardán de Grás only, off Hebron Road. Supporters are asked to co-operate with fully stewards,” a Kilkenny GAA statement read.

“We ask those attending to please use available car parks and not to park in residential areas.”

Back in 2010, around 8,000 fans turned up at the open night to see Henry Shefflin train after he ruptured his cruciate ligament in the semi-final against Cork. He started the final against Tipp, only to break down in the early stages as Kilkenny were denied an historic five-in-a-row.
