Kilkenny under-20 manager DJ Carey has revealed that they can prepare for the Leinster final against Wexford without any real pressure.

Reaching the Leinster final means that Kilkenny are through to the All-Ireland semi-final regardless of what happens against Wexford at Innovate Wexford Park next week.

This year sees the four finalists from the Leinster and Munster championships through to the All-Ireland semis before a ball is thrown in.

Carey stressed to the Kilkenny People that they will be going all out for the win against Wexford but added knowing that they are already through eases the pressure slightly.

“The game won’t carry as much pressure as we are still in the All-Ireland semi-finals,” stated Carey. “However, we know we will be playing a very good Wexford team.

“We will be going to win it, as will they, but it’s not a knockout. Silverware would be lovely.”
