Ballyhaunis GAA have expressed their disappointment with the Mayo CCC after their request for a postponement of yesterday's Mayo senior football league Division 3 game against The Neale was refused.

The club was not in a position to field due to the involvement of six of their players with the Mayo hurling squad that takes on Tyrone in the first round of the Nicky Rackard Cup in Omagh today. County football star Keith Higgins was also unavailable, while their numbers were further depleted by exams and injuries.

"Over the past number of weeks, Ballyhaunis GAA football management and club officers have tried in vain to reschedule this game, but our efforts have proved unsuccessful," said the club, who stressed that they have not conceded a walkover.
