Laois manager Eddie Brennan believes the NHL quarterfinal defeat to Limerick can be a learning process for his charges.

As expected, the reigning All-Ireland champions cruised to victory and booked a place in the semi-finals.

To their credit, Laois battled throughout the game and put some nice passages of play together, but they were subsequently outmuscled by the superior Shannonsiders.

The former Kilkenny forward was keen to find some positives from the game and he is adamant that there are a lot that his players can take from it.

“Look, I’d be saying there’s definitely loads of learning. We showed in flashes, but they are a top-tier team and that showed,” Brennan states in the Leinster Express.

“When you have that, you’re facing a team that are not going to give you a whole lot. I didn’t expect that of them.”
