Ballyboden St Enda's manager Joe Fortune wasn't making any excuses after his side's heavy Leinster club SHC final loss to Ballyhale Shamrocks.
The Dublin champions came through two titanic battles with Clonkill and Coolderry, but yesterday's decider in Carlow was a bridge too far for them.
"I won't look for excuses, they were by far the better team, especially in the second half," the Wexford native told the Irish Daily Star.
"We had a great chance for a good near the end of the first half and then they went up and got a point themselves. We just didn't seem to push it on in the second half at all.
"We've still had a serious journey this year. There's a lot of people who wrote this team off over the last couple of years."
