Clare are likely to be without Shane O'Donnell next season as the talented forward looks set to pursue his studies in America.

The 2013 All-Ireland final replay hat-trick hero has been awarded a Fulbright scholarship at the prestigious Harvard University.

O'Donnell recently graduated from UCC with a degree in genetics and will soon start a PhD at the Cork University.

The Éire Og clubman started all of the Banner County's six Allianz League games this spring including Monday's re-fixed quarter-final at the Gaelic Grounds where they lost to Limerick after a free-taking competition.
