Kildare manager Joe Quaid has stressed that their main focus all year has been on the Christy Ring Cup.

The Lilywhites have to defeat London this weekend to avoid relegation and although Quaid is keen to get a result against the Exiles, he stressed to the Leinster Leader that their preparation is all geared towards the championship.

"If we are good enough to stay up then we will beat London and if London are good enough to stay up then they will beat us. It's as simple as that," said Quaid.

"Our main focus this year from the start was to get together a panel of players capable of having a go at the Christy Ring Cup; our main preparation for that starts next weekend, we have full faith in them."
