Limerick manager Billy Lee is not even contemplating promotion despite their unbeaten start to the FL4 campaign.

The Shannonsiders snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Carlow last weekend, when an injury time goal secured the two points.

That made it three wins from three for Limerick and puts them up top of the table until next weekend at the very least.

Lee knows that there is a lot of football to be played yet and when questioned about promotion by the Limerick Leader, he was non-committal.

“I will let ye chat away about it,” said Lee. “We got to regroup and enjoy that we are winning games again and keep our feet on the ground.”

On Sunday week, Limerick welcome Wicklow to Mick Neville Park and Lee is adamant that they need to win their home games to continue their good form.

“It’s a home game and you have got to win your home games – we have only three home games and four away games. We saw against London that we did not perform well at home, so we have got to find improvement in our performance and keep our feet firmly planted on the ground.”
