Tipperary manager David Power was disappointed with their performance in the FL3 defeat to Derry last weekend, but stressed that they must kick on in the campaign now.

Power pointed out to the Midland Tribune that the division was very tight and that all counties will take points off each other during the campaign.

“It is a tough league, they are going to be ups and downs, that’s the way it is. There is only a kick of a ball between teams,” stressed Power.

“We have to get on with it. The break is good. People don’t realise – three matches in 14 days is tough going, especially at this time of year with the weather.”

Tipp have now won, drew and lost their opening three games, but they still are very much in the hunt for promotion ahead of round four next week.

The Allianz Hurling League returns this weekend, make sure you join the hoganstand.com match tracker for live scores from the third round of games.
