Micheál Conneff and Eoin Stapleton are poised to become the new Kildare minor football and hurling managers after being nominated by the county board's Management Committee.
Originally from Clane, Conneff is now involved with Eadestown. Mark Hogarty from Allenwood, John Conway from Ballymore Eustace and John O’Dwyer from Naas will be his selectors. Conneff and his incoming management team have worked with the development squads over the last number of years.
Eoin Stapleton will take charge of the minor hurlers for the next two years, having served as a selector for the last two years. An All-Ireland U21HC medallist with Limerick in 1987, the Garryspillane native now resides in Naas.
Stapleton will be joined on his management team by Pat O’Meara from Maynooth, Mairtin Boran from Naas and Noel Ryan from Cappawhite, Co Tipperary.
