Billy Lee hopes Limerick won't rest on their laurels after Saturday evening's surprise Munster SFC first round victory over Tipperary.

Iain Corbett, Cillian Fahy and Peter Nash struck for second half goals in Thurles as the Treaty County advanced to a semi-final meeting with Cork on June 1 with seven points to spare.

"It's going to give them confidence and belief in the work they're doing on the training ground and what we're throwing at them is landing and gives them more belief," the Limerick manager said in the Irish Daily Star.

"We started off last year and we knew it was going to be a journey of two or three years and that's the way it is. It's fantastic to get the championship victory (after seven years), but we can't rest there, we've got to keep improving ourselves, developing ourselves, and that's bigger than the semi-final against Cork, it goes beyond that with us and we'll take on that as it comes."
