Kieran Donaghy says Kerry's win over Dublin bodes well for the rest of their season.

Writing in his Irish Daily Star column, Donaghy expects the one-point victory to provide Peter Keane's men with a major psychological boost.

"It will bring that young team on a tonne," the former Kingdom full forward maintains.

"A game played in the second weekend of February? Nobody dines out on those. But that doesn't mean it didn't matter.

"It was a chance for Kerry to put down a marker, to let everybody know that they want to kick on from a disappointing 2018. Dublin asked questions of Kerry at different times in the game. Every time, Kerry came up with an answere.

"That will greatly please Peter Keane and his management team."
