Having reached the 2018 Ulster SFC final, Fermanagh defender Kane Connor has stressed now is the time for the county to push on.

Many have suggested that Fermanagh’s appearance in last year’s Ulster final was a flash in the pan, but Connor is adamant that will not be the case.

The Erne County have brought in a lot of new players, but the backbone of the side has lots of experience and Connor told the Fermanagh Herald that they can build from there.

“Personally for me, I’m not just going to sit back and be happy with what we did last year. I want to push on as an individual and as part of the team. Every player has that. It’s early days yet and it might not seem like that , but every man is on the same wavelength,” said Connor.

“We’re hungry to be successful again this year. It’s not going to be easy in Division 2. We’re going to come up against some strong teams, but you should even have a bit more bite about you this year because you’re playing those better teams.”
