Promising Donegal midfielder Jason McGee is to concentrate on his U20 commitments this year.
A senior debutant last year, the Cloughaneely clubman was joint captain of the team that captured Ulster MFC honours in 2016.
He was also a central figure in Donegal's Ulster U-21 triumph last year.
Injury has stalled his progress this year but a statement from the County Board revealed that he is "well on his to way to recovery".
It added: "It would be more beneficial for Jason and Donegal to continue his recovery over the next few weeks before the U20 season starts on April 1."
Under rule, player can't play both senior and U20 football in the one year so McGee's decision will be a big boost to the Gary McDaid managed U20s.
