Ex-Roscommon GAA sponsor passes away

Des Whyte celebrates with the Nestor Cup after Roscommon's Connacht SFC success in 2010.
The death has taken place of former Roscommon GAA sponsor Des Whyte.
A native of Oran, Des' company Sierra Communications sponsored the Rossies when they won the All-Ireland MFC title in 2006 and the Connacht SFC title in 2010.
A proud Roscommon man, Des will be laid to rest in Oran Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon.
Sad to learn of the death of Des Whyte, a proud Roscommon man & a significant financial backer of Roscommon football over the years.
