Manager David Power has appointed star forward Conor Sweeney as captain of the Tipperary senior football team for the year ahead.

Midfielder Steven O'Brien will be the Premier County's vice-captain.

Ballyporeen clubman Sweeney will lead the team out against Down in round 1 of the Allianz FL Division 3 next Sunday at 2pm in Clonmel.

Conor Sweeney is the new Tipp senior football captain for 2020 with Steven O Brien in as vice captain.
