The late Pat Duggan The death of Pat Duggan, Piercetown House, occasioned great regret. In his 92nd year, he was very well known in farming circles, and enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who were acquainted with him. A keen sportsman in his youth, he played minor hurling for Tipperary in 1933, winning an All-Ireland. He later went to Dublin where he played with Faughs, winning the championship in 1936, and subsequently the played in Wexford. He maintained a life-long interest in Faughs and the club was represented a this funeral by Bill Cashin, a former colleague. A very fine gentleman, he was a good and caring neighbour and testimony to the esteem in which he was held was the large turn-out at the removal of his remains to the Cathedral and at his internment in St Patrick's Cemetery following Requiem Mass. His wife Josephine predeceased him some years back. Sincere sympathy is extended to his family, Anna, Margaret, Pat, Mary, Vincent, Liam and Theo and their families on their sad loss.
