The late Liam Carson There was a huge sense of shock and sadness at news of the passing of Mr. Liam Carson, Assumption Park, Roscrea. A very well known man locally and most especially in GAA circles, Liam played at all grades for the local hurling club with his highlights including two Senior County Final appearances in 1954 and 1963, Captaining the Roscrea Meat Products team in the 1963 Inter-Firm final against Antigen, being a member of the Gold Watch winning team of 1958. However, above all else, Liam was a dedicated and loving family man and he is survived by his wife Anna, sons Liam and Michael, daughters Annette, Fiona, Sinead and Elaine, family, neighbours and many, many friends to whom the sympathy of all is extended at this sad time His remains were removed to St. Cronan's Church and following Requiem Mass he was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
