April 15, 2006
The late Ned O'Dwyer The death occurred on Saturday, April 1st, 2006, of Ned O'Dwyer, Thurlesbeg House. One of the senior citizens of the parish, Ned farmed and lived in his quiet, unassuming way. He enjoyed the game of cards and the game of hurling and played full forward on the County final winning team of 1941. His remains were removed to Boherlahan church on Sunday evening, April 2nd and burial took place to Ardmayle cemetery after requiem mass the following day. Members of the GAA club, of which he was Vice-President, formed a guard of honour as the hearse carrying his remains draped in the club colours arrived at the church. We extend sympathy to his sister, Helen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. Courtesy of The Tipperary Star 15 April 2006
