Caplis, Liam

March 16, 2006
The late Liam Caplis The death of Liam Caplis caused widespread sorrow in our Parish and surrounding areas. Son of the stalwart P.J, he was an all-round sportsman: being an accomplished hurler and footballer while motor racing figured prominently among his many other sporting pursuits. One of the most promising juveniles to come through the ranks he was a member of many successful underage teams. When we won our first Feile na Gael Final in 1990, a game played in Semple Stadium he gave a man of the match performance, and continued to represent the club with distinction for many years to follow. A gentleman on and off the field he was held in high esteem by all who knew him and his untimely demise is sadly felt by all in our community. The Peace of Heaven to his gentle soul and our condolences to the bereaved. Courtesy of the Tipperary Star 16 March 2006
