Former Antrim hurling boss Dinny Cahill is only a matter of days away from being confirmed as the new Laois team-manager, sources suggest. The Tipperary native is expected to be officially confirmed as the boss of the midlanders before the end of the month at the latest. Cahill has been the favourite to succeed Paudie Butler in the hot seat and his name was put forward for the position at last Monday night's county board meeting of the Laois executive by one of the Laois officers. It is understood that the recommendation of the board of Cahill's name will be formally ratified at the November 21st meeting of the county board. Tweet
