The late Brian O'Reilly Great sadness was occasioned in the village of Ardcroney and throughout GAA circles in North Tipperary following the sudden death of referee, Brian O'Reilly. Mr. O'Reilly, (34) a native of Ardcroney and a secondary school teacher in Headford, Co. Galway was a well known man in GAA circles and was a hugely popular linesman and referee for the North Board. "I would like to express my condolences and the condolences of the whole Board to the O'Reilly family. Brian will be greatly missed and he was always accommodating to the Board. He was never too busy to referee a game at on many occasions travelled straight from Headford to referee a game. He was hugely popular with everyone who knew him, "Mr. McKeogh said. Mr. O'Reilly is survived by his loving mother Teresa, brother Alan, sister Stella (Heffernan), family, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Courtesy of the Tipperary STar July 2004
