Kieran Bergin has been ruled out of the remainder of Tipperary's HL campaign after suffering an ankle ligament injury in yesterday's quarter-final win over Offaly in Tullamore.

The Examiner reports that scans confirmed the midfielder damaged lateral ligaments and is facing four to six weeks on the sideline.

The Premier County are also understood to be considering submitting an appeal against Seamus Callanan's second-half sending off.

Meanwhile, there was positive news on the neck injury that 19-year-old football star Colin O'Riordan suffered against Sligo.

A CT scan on O'Riordan's spine showed up clear after the 2014 All Star nominee was stretchered off during the 0-15 to 0-13 Division 3 victory over the Yeats County.

He remains a doubt, however, for the Munster U21 final against Cork which is fixed for April 9th.
