Eamon O'Shea was accentuating the positives following Tipperary's Allianz Hurling League final loss to Kilkenny.

"You could say that for a number of our players, even though they weren't playing well, I still think they stayed wanting to win the game," the Premier County boss said.

"That's a great sign of a team in terms of what we're trying to do here. We're not at the level we want to be yet at all and we'll be trying very hard to get there.

"Certainly we'd be happy with the league. We were up and down a bit, there were poor performances and good performances. You never know until you get out and play opposition like that as to where you are and that's the benefit of these games."
