The NHL final took place this afternoon and the Leinster SHC also commenced.

Kilkenny V Tipperary in the hurling league decider at Nowlan Park took centre stage on the first Sunday of May and there was a real championship atmosphere evident as these two great rivals battled it out for silverware.

Meanwhile, Westmeath hosted Antrim in the preliminary round of the Leinster SHC at Mullingar - a match of huge significance to both counties. And what a game it was!
