Tipperary's Brendan Maher
Brendan Maher will start his first ever championship game for Tipperary in Sunday's All-Ireland hurling semi-final against Limerick at Croke Park. The Borrisoleigh youngster, who was introduced in Tipp's three Munster championship ties this summer, starts at left half back in a reshuffled defence which sees Padraic Maher switch to full back, Paul Curran to the left corner and Conor O'Brien drop to the bench. The midfield and attack are unchanged from the Munster final win over Waterford with John O'Brien and Eoin Kelly having shaken off hamstring and back injuries respectively. Tipperary (SH v Limerick): B Cummins; P Stapleton, P Maher, P Curran; D Fanning, C O'Mahony, B Maher; J Woodlock, S McGrath; P Kerwick, S Callanan, J O'Brien; N McGrath, E Kelly, L Corbett.
