O'Gorman, Alfie

The funeral takes place in London today, Wednesday of the late Alfred O'Gorman, formerely of Bunninadden who died on January 4th in Hammersmith, London. Alfie died peacefully and is sadly missed by his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Annette and Elizabeth; grandchildren; sons-in-law; brothers; Sean and Gus; sisters, Peg, Pat and Josie; nephews, nieces and a wide circle of friends. He was predeceased by his late brothers, Dominic and Michael and sister, May. Alfie's remains were brought to Holy Trinity Church, Brook Green, Hammersmith, last evening. Alfie (68) was a native of Everlawn, Bunninadden, where he attended his local national school. He later worked on the farm prior to moving to London in 1959 to work on construction. He never lost his love of his native Bunninadden and was a frequent visitor, returning at least once ayear. He was also a great supporter of Sligo GAA and his local Bunninadden club and a Sligo GAA flag was brought to London for his funerael.
