Drumcliffe/Rosses Point club notes

September 26, 2018

Pride of place last week went to the DRP boys U16 footballers who lifted the Sligo County U16 ‘A’ championship title last Monday under the lights of scarden with a 5-12 to 3-9 win over St Molaise Gaels. The result was a fitting recognition of the work which this group of players and their management team have put in over the last year. In a word, their performance in this final was ‘mighty’. From the start, they attacked with flair and defended ferociously against a fine St Molaise Gaels side. Special mention for the Calry/St Joseph's contingent who played a big part in the success of this championship campaign. Big Congrats to manager Des Henry and his management team of Jimmy Smith & John Foy who’ve put in huge work all year.Best wishes to Molaise player Shane Towey who sustained a leg injury early on in this game.
