The Late Johnny Murray It was with great sadness that the members of Padraig Pearses learned of the death of former star footballer Johnny Murray. Johnny won his first championship medal for Pearses as an U13 in 1967. He went on to be successful at all underage grades before graduating to the senior team in the late 1970s. Johnny was centre-half back on the Pearses team that won the O'Rourke Cup Senior League in 1985. May he rest in peace. Courtesy of the Roscommon Herald 28th September 2005 Tweet
