Senior/Junior Team

Hard luck to our Senior team who were defeated by St Croans and Strokestown over the last 10 days in the league. Our next and final league game is against St Brigids on the August bank holiday weekend. Our Junior team were defeated by St Faithleachs in the league on Sunday last. The Junior team play St Faithleachs again this Wednesday in Kilmore in the Championship. 

 

Summer Camp 

Our annual Summer Camp takes place this year from July 24th to 28th and from August 14th to 18th at the pitch. The camp costs €60 per child, 2 kids for €100 or 3 for €145. Places are filling up and to book your child's place contact Clare Connellan 087-9471081 or Trevor Hunt 087-9652581.

 

Used Batteries

Kilmore GAA are collecting all used and unwanted car & tractor batteries in the parish. Anyone who wants more information is asked to contact Gerry Tiernan on 086-8393800. 

 

Club Rossie 

Club Rossie tickets are now on sale from the club. There are 2 options this year €228 which gives you a free jacket and 3 entries into a draw to win  €30,000 or €100 which gives you 1 entry into the draw to win €30,000. Underage

Our U-16 team recorded their second win of the championship against St Aidans on Monday evening but lost against Tulsk on Sunday. Our minors had a super win in the 1st round of the minor championship when they defeated Padraig Pearses in Woodmount. On this Friday our minors play Tulsk in the Championship in Kilmore at 7.30pm. Our U-8 & U-10 teams play Shannon Gaels on this Saturday morning in Croghan. The Club Rossie Bus, The Connacht Cup and a number of Roscommon players will visit Glancys Super Valu in Carrick On Shannon this Thursday from 10am to 11am. 

 

Ladies 

Our Junior Ladies had a good win in the championship when they defeated Kilbride in Kilbride. Their next game is against Roscommon Gaels on Tuesday evening in Kilmore at 7.45pm. Our U-15 girls team of Kilmore/Elphin were beaten by Shannon gaels and their next game is later this week against Boyle in the Sean Daly cup. Hard luck to Natasha Munnelly and the Roscommon U-16 girls team who were defeated in the U-16B All Ireland Semi Final. 

 

Other News

Our recent 50/50 draw took place and the jackpot of €238 was won by John Anthony Burke and the seller was John Anthony Burke. The €25 winners were Ann Connellan, Kathleen Dorr, Padriag Harte and Gerry Gilchrest. Thanks to Jenny Connellan and her team of sellers. Our next draw will take place this Sunday night at 10pm in Brackens Hillstreet and Gerry Tiernans team are on selling duty. The Club PRO apologies for no notes last week but events in Salthill contributed to that. The Club congratulates the Roscommon Senior Football team on a super win over Galway in the Connacht Senior final. We also congratulate Cian Ffrench and the Roscommon U-17 team who won the U-17 Connacht Final last Saturday week.
