HL2B: Maher double relegates Rossies

April 01, 2013
London 2-18
Roscommon 2-10

A first brace of goals from Jonathan Maher helped London to secure their place in the Allianz Hurling League Division 2B final against Meath.

The Exiles' eight-point win in Ruislip also saw Roscommon relegated to Division 3A for 2014. The game was over as a contest after 21 minutes when Maher's goals and five points from Donie Reale had London perched on a 2-10 to 0-1 lead.

The hosts went on to lead by 2-14 to 0-3 at the break, but only added four points after the restart as a much-improved Roscommon pulled back goals through Ronan O'Meara and Tomas Seale to put a better complexion the scoreboard.
