Under 16 Football:
Pearses Boys Under 16 Football had a good win on Friday night last when they beat st Bridgets in the div 1 league. It a very tight first half Pearses were unlucky to be losing at half time 3 points to 2.Pearses should have had a couple of Goals but their reward was a poor 2 points. Pearses came out in the second half and again were slow to start and with 15minutes left they were 5 points down 8 points to 3. with about 15 minutes left Pearses struck for a goal scored by Mark Richardson and this seem to waken up the team as within 5 minutes Pearse had another goal by Donnacha Reilly and with time just up Pearse wrapped up the game with a couple of points to win on a scoreline of 2.06 to 0.08. It would be hard to name anyone individual as this was a team who all played their part in this win no less then the sight of the whole team behind the ball on the goal line to defend a free that St Bridgets got with a couple of minutes left to play and the break out of this defence when the ball was stopped on the line , it epitomised the spirit of the team as it looked like the charge of the Light Brigade. Team ; Paul Whelan,Shane Kenny, Ian Goldrick,Sean Lohan , Adam Finnerty , Hubert Darcy, Ben Fallon,Padraig Downey,Tom Butler,Tony McEvilly, Kelvin Kelly, Mark Naughton, Matthew Fehilly , Sean Dunne, Leon Fehilly, Mark Richardson, Donnachada Reilly, Conor Payne, Michael Burnell, Eoin Costello,Luciene Brooks.

Pearses started off well when within the first 10 minutes they were up by 7 points with goals from Sean Dunne and Paul Dolan.Pearses went in at the break leading 3.5 to 6 points with the third goal been scored by Shane Naughton.
Boyle showed their that they were not going to be beaten easily when within 10 minutes of the second half they had scored 1 3 to no reply and were also unlucky not to have a second goal , this seem to wake up Pearses and with a late burst scored a couple of points to wrap up the Game.
