Derry booked themselves into the Allianz Hurling League Division 2B final thanks to an emphatic 2-31 to 0-14 victory over Roscommon in Lavey this afternoon.
After a slow start saw them falling 0-8 to 0-3 behind, the Oak Leafers’ got timely goals from Christy McNaughton and Darragh McGilligan to lead by 2-13 to 0-10 at the half.
The second-half saw the home side keep their foot on the throttle as they maintained their unbeaten record in the competition’s final where they will face a derby against either Donegal or Tyrone.
Donegal secured their third win by seeing off London on a 2-26 to 1-16 scoreline in Letterkenny, where Oisin Grant and Liam McKinney bagged the hosts’ goals, while Tyrone consigned Wicklow to their third loss with a 1-29 to 2-17 win in Dungannon.
