Truagh Gaels (Monaghan) 2-21
Kiltane (Mayo) 2-13
Truagh Gaels produced a late scoring burst to overcome Kiltane in today's All-Ireland club IFC final at Croke Park.
It was anyone's game with seven minutes remaining when Truagh held a one-point lead, 2-14 to 2-13, but the Monaghan men finished with a flourish to take the spoils.
Impressive corner forward Daniel McKenna scored 1-6 in the first half to help his side to a 2-10 to 2-5 interval lead.
Kiltane had led early on thanks to goals from Darragh Carey (penalty) and Mikey Sweeney, but McKenna settled Truagh with a 13th minute major and a second from Mark Counihan a short time later turned the game in their favour.
