Top billing on Thursday evening last went to the semi finals of the Development Hurling league where Monaghan Harps defeated Clontibret by 3-7 to 2-6 and Truagh defeated Inniskeen by 3-19 to 1-10. Monaghan Harps and Truagh will now contest the Development Hurling league final with that game scheduled for this evening Thursday, May 23rd in the Smithboro at 7:45 p.m. The success of the Development Hurling league can be gauged from the fact that this is a new pairing in the final as it was Castleblayney and Inniskeen who contested last year's final and as both of these sides, Monaghan Harps and Truagh have run up impressive tallies throughout the competition this evening's game promises to be an entertaining and a high-scoring affair.
