DR WARD CUP: We play Toome away this Sunday at 2.
GYM: The gym is available on designated nights for club members, minors can only attend with senior panel members.
u-8 COACHING: Continues on Thursday nights from 7.0-8.0
u-8 Blitz: Next blitz is on 25th May.
U-6& Nursery: Continues on Fridays at 7.
u-12 SPRING LEAGUE: We play Emyvale this Saturday at 1 in Cloghan in the final of the spring league.
u-14 league: Emyvale conceded the points last weekend.
FRIENDS OF ORAM: The scheme was an outstanding success last year, and already a large volume of people have already signed up. The monies raised goes towards the upkeep of our teams and playing pitch. All those who play or support our club are asked to join. As an incentive this year, club hoddies and jumpers are on offer exclusive to friends of Oram, the chance to enter a draw for the clubs All-Ireland tickets, the 10euros a month also covers players insurance fees for the year.
1963 REUNION: It is planned to mark the 50 year anniversary of the clubs 1963 junior winning team, the event is planned for September.
MINOR LEAGUE: We went down to a strong Castleblayney outfit last Tuesday night on a scoreline of 3-11 to 0-13, we played Doohamlet on Tuesday, the league then takes a break until after the state exams and resumes in late June.
MAYOR OF ORAM: The following is the list of candidates which will run for election on the 18th May, Jim O'Neill, Jolene Murphy, Margaret Ward, Terry Carragher, Tara Lynch, Patricia Noakes, Nicole Dodds, Tom Carville, Rose Mc Bride, Rory King, Lorraine Adair, Leslie Hannna, and Hugh Francis Leonard.
u-16 LEAGUE: Emerald Sarsfields fine form continued when we defeated Killeevan in Newbliss, impressive performances from Alan Nugent, James Daly, Tommy Geehan and Darren Kavangh. We play Inniskeen at home tonight Thursday at 7.
RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP: Our Crawley cup campaign ended last Friday night when we lost out 2-11 to 1-11 to Rockcorry, leading by 1-06 to 0-1 after 15minutes for the second time in a week we lost our way and failed to see out the game, although disappointed we took some great scores with Niall Bishop, and Daniel Forde hitting some great scores. PRESENTATION NIGHT: Oram social club was packed to capacity last Saturday night as we celebrated the achievements of the Emerald Sarsfields winning u-21 team of 2012. Medals were also presented to our u-12 team who reached the final. A big thank you to our special guest on the night Monaghan and Ulster player Darren Hughes who made the presentation to Paul Curran and his wife Louise and to our MC on the night former club stalwart Declan Mc Bennett who conducted the night in his usual highly professional manner. See photos elsewhere in Northern standard. A special thanks to all those officials and parents from both clubs who attended the function and what was a great occasion for both clubs. A signed Monaghan Jersey was raffled on the night and won by Joe Mc Guinness.
RECREATIONAL GAA: The club are running its inaugural over 35 tournament on a date to be confirmed in July, for the Eddie Mc Donald cup, four teams will play in the tournament which is sure to attract huge interest. Those eligible include all past players who are over 35 and players under 35 who have not played competitive football in three years. More details in the coming months.
