Corduff Gaels hosted 2 Monaghan Electrical Intermediate matches last week the first of which was against Monaghan Harps on Wednesday night 7th August. The visitors settled into the match with a point in the 2nd minute while it took the hosts 9 minutes to register their first score by Michael Connolly. A Fergal Hanratty goal levelled matters 1-1 to 04 in the 20th minute. Another Michael Connolly point levelled things again for the second time on 1-2 to 0-5. However it was Harps that pushed forward going 2 points up at the interval 1-2 to 0-7. The second half started as the first one had with Monaghan Harps popping over 2 before Fergal Hanratty was on target in the 4th minute. Indeed Corduff’s Hanratty and Martin Mills were to be the sides only scorers in the second half registering 0-6 between them . The work of the Ben in goals and the backs kept Harps goal free throughout but it wasn’t enough as the visitors went away with the points on a final scoreline of Corduff 2-7 Monaghan Harps 0-17. Corduff Gaels extends massive thanks to match sponsor Ciarán Marron of Activ8.

On Sunday Corduff Gaels welcomed Emyvale for Round 15 of the Intermediate League.
