Gaelscol an Bhradáin Feasa claimed the Allianz Meath Cumann Na mBunscol Girls Division 1 Shield Final with this seven point win over neighbours Whitecross in the opening game of the day at Pairc Tailteann.

When these two met in group the group stages a draw was the result. 

The winners went in at the break 2-4 to 2-1 in front. Gaelscol raced in to a 1-3 to 0-0 lead with the impressive Honor Nic Oisín hitting 1-1. Whitecross hit back to lead through a Aisling Scott point and goals from Sadhbh McKenna and captain Grace Sweeney. Nic Oisín raised her second flag soon after and her team went in at the break three points ahead.

Whitecross hit the front in the early stages of the second with 1-1 from Adetola Akinboboye but from there on Gaelscol an Bhradáin Feasa took over. Once again Nic Oisín was to the fore with 1-2 and along with points from joint captains Ceola Ní Néill and Emma Ní Shuilleabháin (2) as the Mornington school ran out deserving winners.
