Pairc Tailteann development fund - Tickets

(Oldest Posts First)

I was approached last night at a training session to buy one on the above €50 tickets. I had to say no. Due to my own personnel circumstance and to proved for my own club I cannot do the two.

It was after I was having a discussion with some other members of the club and they felt the same. We know it is going to put the club under pressure but we can't do both in the times we are in and our loyalty is to the club.

Any views ?

Its the same old story clubs getting hard to raise funds to run their club and then they are expected to go to the same people and look for €50 for a ticket where is all the gate money collected throught out the year being used for.

I'd say the tickets aren't selling. Didn't they put the draw back from June to August. Heard nothing about it from the club either who are now supposed to sell 60 tickets instead of 100.

its ridiculous in some parishes....my own parish we have a football club and a hurling club...trying to get the same amount of players to buy/sell 120 tickets is damn near impossible

Its just not on at the moment its not possible for clubs to sell these and keep their own finances going as well. Unfortunately a lot of the people who are pushing this idea are in a position where they are not worried about €50 so they dont understand how hard it is to sell them. Would be a much better idea if they went for a concert in the pitch to raise the funds.
