I heard they beat Wicklow by 2 points yesterday, they play Wexford or Offaly next, could they pull of a shock? Any reports from the game? Do they play in the All Ireland B even though won it last year? sticksandstones (Meath) - Posts: 55 - 22/04/2012 10:30:37 1157390 Link 0 |

it doesnt sound great to be honest, wicklow with the greatest respect to them are really bad in underage for as long as i can remember and 4 point win hardly gives confidence. fonejacker (Kildare) - Posts: 315 - 22/04/2012 18:12:15 1157689 Link 0 |

i watched the game yesterday evening, the result was 2,13 to 2,9, and the half time score was 2,9 to 1,2! these scored tell the story of the game as meath were dominant with the wind and apart from giving wicklow a slopy goal they dominated the first half taking their chances which wicklow failed to do! Regan, dara kelly, vinnie moore, and luke richard all had good first halfs but all drifted out of the game in the second half and wicklow got on top, its fair to say if the game was ten minutes longer the result could of been much different with wicklow the outright winners as they had meath on the back foot! it looked from the sideline like meath had a poor day, but its always been said that a good team is one which can play poorly and still come away with a win, and thats the story of this meath team! there is plenty of class at this age and i honestly think all going well they can beat offaly in the next round! this team deserves no critisism of any kind after yesterdays display, arklow is a tough place to go for any team to play wicklow, and they proved that yesterday! Now its time for the county to get behind these lads and their clubs to support them, they play offaly on the 5th of may! outskirtsoftrim (Meath) - Posts: 1 - 22/04/2012 19:25:44 1157768 Link 0 |
