IFC: Moores stun Syddan with fight back

Donaghmore/Ashbourne 2-14 Syddan  3-11

Donaghmore Ashbourne came from being ten points behind midway through the second half to force a draw against Syddan in this exciting Intermediate Championship game at Pairc Tailtainn on Saturday.

Syddan opened the scoring with two points and a goal in the first four minutes before Don/Ash hit back with four points on the spin. The north Meath side hit two further goals to lead at half time by 3-6 to 0-7.

The margin was extended to ten points before half time substitute Kevin Fenton started the revival with a well taken goal, Syddan replied with a point but in the last twelve minutes Don/Ash hit a goal and five points without reply to gain a share of the points and bring them a step closer to a Quarter Final place.

Shane Rae, Iarlaith O'Donnell, Sam Benville and James Crumlish stood out for Donaghmore Ashbourne while Kevin Fenton and Aidan Hughes when introduced also played well.
