JFC C, round 3.
Full time:  St. Michaels 2-11, Dunsany 1-10,
Half time: St. Michaels 1-07, Dunsany 1-03.

St. Michaels recorded their third victory in as many outings following this seven point victory over Dunsany in Walterstown on Friday evening. The winners opened the game in scintillating style notching 1-6 without reply in the opening thirteen minutes as Ben Tobin rattled the net after just three minutes following some slick passing by his team-mates. Points followed from Kevin Cassidy (3), Ben Farrell (2) and Johnny Reilly (1) before Dunsany opened their account with a point on 17 minutes. Ben Tobin added his sides only other point of the half on 21 minutes as Dunsany put over another two points before hitting the back of the net on the stroke of half time to trail by four at the break, 1-7 to 1-3.

St. Michaels stretched their interval lead to seven points early in the second half following points from Tobin, Cassidy and Ben Reilly, however they went off the boil for a twelve minute period and allowed Dunsany back into the game reducing the deficit back to four points but then a move started by Ben Tobin was finished to the net after some player after some poor defending by the losers. Once again Dunsany were allowed back into the match and they fired over five unanswered points to leave just three between the sides with a minute left on the watch, however up popped Johnny Reilly with the insurance point as the game entered injury time for a well deserved victory. Along with the scorers, others to impress were Harry Dunne, Alex Farrell, Daithi O'Reilly and Caolan McConnell.
