Navan O'Mahonys proved too strong for Simonstown Gaels in this JFC round three fixture at Bective on Friday evening.

O'Mahonys made most of the running on an overcast evening with the scores tied on just one occasion. Dylan Regan's 16th minute point made it 0-2 to 0-1 and Brendan O'Reilly's side extended their lead over the time remaining.
Ciaran McGuinness' goal boosted the Brews Hill outfit to a 1-6 to 0-3 interval lead. O'Mahonys added three scores within seven minutes of resumption to be well on the way to their first points of the campaign.
John Lunney's fine 42nd minute point from play was one of few highlights for Simonstown. By the three-quarter stage it was 2-10 to 0-5. Gavin Fox got O'Mahonys' second goal with help from sub Mikey Kelly.
Shane McHugh's brace of points from play for Simonstown were complimented by an assist for Dean Curran's 49th minute goal.
It proved to be Simonstown's swansong as they slipped to their third defeat of the campaign. O'Mahonys added 1-2 without reply in the latter stages with Niall Kearney adding their third goal.
