Kilcormac/Killoughey win inaugural All-Ireland Club Poc Fada

The inaugural All-Ireland Club Poc Fada hosted by Kilmessan Hurling and Camogie Clubs proved an outstanding success.

The inaugural All-Ireland Club Poc Fada hosted by Kilmessan Hurling and Camogie Clubs proved an outstanding success last Saturdaycompetition this Saturday

The Poc Fada course began on the the Hill of Tara and made its way through the local countryside and finished back at Kilmessan hurling pitch.

Kilcormac/Killoughey (Offaly) were the over all winners with 48pocs. Second place went tocurrent Galway SH championss St Thomas with 49 pocs while Newmarket on Fergus (Clare) took 3rd place. 

The overall long poc was won by Kilkenny man Alan Murphy from (Glenmore).

1st Kilcormac/Killoughey: Conor Slevin, Cilcain Kiely 

2nd St Thomas: Patrick Skehill, Bernard Burke 

3rd Newmarket - on- Fergus: James McInerney, Alan McInerney 

The clubs Annual Poc Fada competition took place the following day and the winners were

Over 40's - Paul Donnelly 

Senior Player - Scott Bagnall 

Senior Camoige player - Ann Marie Dennehy 

Cormac Doyle Memorial Minor - Cathal Murphy 

U-16 - Corey Rooney Knight
