Fagan stars in Waterford SHC

Former Meath hurler Jack Fagan

Former Rathmolyon and Meath hurler Jack Fagan played a starring role for Waterford side De La Salle in the county SHC quarterfinal last weekend.

Extra time could not separate the city side and their rivals Mount Sion in what was an outstanding game of hurling.

Fagan chipped in with 0-02 from play as the sides played out a 0-24 to 1-21 draw on front of a sizeable crowd at Walsh Park.

Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Kevin Moran, Jake Dillon and John Mullane on the De La Salle team, Fagan lined out against the likes of Mount Sion's county stars Austin Gleeson and Ian O'Regan.

It has been a remarkable year for the Meath native as he has won Munster and All-Ireland under-21 medals with his adopted county.

The sides meet in the replay at Walsh Park on Sunday afternoon.
